Invaluable advice

For anyone thinking about or starting a construction/renovation project, I can’t recommend Remodel Advantage enough. Bob provides objective advice that draw on years of experience. He helped us realize several issues in how our contractor was approaching our home renovations that would have been very costly to fix if action wasn’;t taken quickly. Because of Bob, everything was done correctly the first time. In fact, the end product was even better. We are so thankful and you will be too if you hire Remodel Advantage!

Doing it Right!

Bob has helped me with several jobs. He is extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of new and remodeling projects. He understands budgets and costs and has recommended different aspects to approaching the desired results and more importantly getting it done properly! I find him to be, trustworthy, honest, and in good humor a pleasure to be around and working with. He is very detailed oriented and he really cares. Having someone just run through the project with me and identify things that I had not even considered. For instance, I just assumed the water and sewer lines for the powder room came through the back wall. I didn’t even open the existing cabinet to check. How foolish I feel now. We were considering purchasing a vanity where having lines come through the floor may be an eyesore. The sewer line out the side – same thing. Never even looked at that. Now we will consider that when purchasing our vanity. The idea for the garbage disposal air switch was also very useful and also using the existing garbage disposal switch for the new undercabinet lights seems brilliant as well. I could go on – the idea to hang a plastic curtain to wall off the dust, seems a no brainer. The fact that when we pull the existing powder room countertop it will create the need for drywall work since we’re now going with a standalone vanity, hadn’t thought of it. Even attaching the vanity to the wall. I had omitted this step in the upstairs bathroom plan and I did it again. Thankfully, you reminded me. Some of these items would have resulted in an unplanned hold-up to the work (and thus, unhappy wife) and now I can plan on them.

Honest, Experienced & Affable

I’ve worked with Bob many times over the years; he’s helped me fix issues in rented apartments, helped beautify my first condo and now is helping me shore up a very, very, very old house. In fact, I had Bob look it over for me before I bought it. He’;s quick to asses problems, and happy to offer solutions at various levels of engagement/cost. He takes the time to find out what I can manage – both in terms of time and money – and crafts a plan that suits. He’s also comfortable telling me something I’m wondering about isn’t an issue as all, which has built up a ton of trust over the years. Because of his breadth of knowledge, I feel comfortable asking Bob about anything, from plumbing to structural issues, appliance recommendations to flooring advice. He’s been in the industry for decades, and he’s built his own homes. He knows his stuff. Plus, he’s a family man and all around good dude – as a single mom, I have zero issue with Bob having full run of the house whether I’m there or not.
